I got on the trainer this morning for the first time since early spring of this year.
Seems like I've been away a little too long. My pedal stroke is really choppy and I can't spin in high cadence like I used to be able too. Guess I spent the whole summer mashing the big gears.
Looks like I've got some skills to relearn.

Okay, so I am dumb. A trainer is another word for a stationary bike, no? Just curious...

sort of. A trainer is a stand that attaches to your bike to make it a stationary bike.

What is better the stationery bike or the trainer. My mom offered her SB to me, and I am thinking about taking it from her.
How do you measure stroke and cadence?

I think the stationary bikes that my gym has are uncomfortable and you can't clip in to them like you can with clipless pedals.
I measure cadence with this :: http://www.nashbar.com/profile.cfm?category=82&subcategory=1035&brand=&sku=1497&storetype=&estoreid=
and pedal stroke is just a feel thing. It should be a nice smooth Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr sound not an uneven BRRbrrrbrbbrrbbRBRbrbrRBRB like mine is.

Do you also have a wheezing sound to go with this?
