I didn't realize that Portia was a lesbian.....
"Portia de Rossi has given her new lady love, Ellen DeGeneres, a Tiffany wedding band as a sign of her everlasting devotion, reports The New York Post.
Last month, the "Arrested Development' star split with her longtime lover, Francesca Gregorini, to move in with DeGeneres.
And as a surprise for DeGeneres' 47th birthday on Wednesday, De Rossi, 31, gave her a beautiful platinum band from the famed Fifth Avenue jeweler and bought a matching band for herself. Plain Tiffany platinum bands range in price from $450 to $1,200."

Unlike the Ellen and Anne coupling, these two look nothing alike. Must be genuine love. Personally speaking, Portia is hot, and so is Ellen.

ok, I'm not one for celebrity gossip; it really shouldn't matter, but I was totally surprised by the Portia de Rossi thing in this thread. I recently read an article about "A day in the Life of Ellen" with exclusive photos by her partner Alexandra Hedison. the magazine is dated January 18, 2005. I know these things have to go to print early, but this magazine still seems to be pretty current. I had to do some searching on the net. It seems that Ellen dumped Alexandra on Dec. 10th.
Perhaps we are seeing the whole celebrity thing in which relationships don't last very long.

You know, I was also shocked and disappointed when I heard that Ellen had dumped her long-time girlfriend for Portia. I mean, she also wore a wedding band-ish ring on her finger to show her bond with Alexandra. I also read in some online gossip rag that she has had a history of making poor choices in mates. Hmmm, ya think?
Yup, the relationship is doomed, though I don't think we will be seeing Portia walking around dazed and naked when they split.
