Has anyone else noticed the new marketing campaigns for what they are calling a "right hand ring"?
I guess it was only a matter of time that they went after the previously untapped group of single women in this Bridget Jones era. I think the whole idea is kind of lame. I don't need a diamond on the other hand to assert my independence. I can do that at the bike racks for free.

Not to mention the fact that they're ugly. I only got to #5 but I didn't see anything I'd want if I wasn't paying for it.

I like the principle, because it tells women they shouldn't wait to buy something luxurious for themselves if they want it. I wholeheartedly support that sentiment. But cocktail rings are ugly. I'd buy myself another pair of D&G boots before I got one of those. Then again, I'm fortunate. Between estate pieces I've inherited, my husband, and my father I've got all the jewelry I could ever want.

I looked at about 6 rings, I thought they were all ugly.
I wear one of my diamond rings on my right hand simply because I cannot wear all 3 on my left hand (size issue). I didn't realize that it was a new trend.

I think the "lighter wallet" part says it all.

I'm thinking something more like this would look lovely on my right hand (and about this size too )
