what was your most memorable Halloween costume???
All I remember are those plastic masks that made me feel like my face was melting. And that cheap shiny cloth that we all later figured out was super flammable.
I just don't remember what it is I dressed up as...

My favorite was Ed Grimley for ninth or tenth grade at our high school band party. Yes, I even had a triangle to play. If I ever get a scanner I will share the pic. It was completely mental, I must say.

Gosh, cannot remember how old I was, 12 maybe? Mom made me a clown suit. It was black & white, one side one color and the other side the other color, trimmed in red rick-rack. She made red & white yarn pom-pons that went down the center, and also strung red yarn through a hair net for my hair. Add a black hat, coloring for my face, and I rocked!
Mom wasn't a lot of things growing up, but give the woman a Simplicity pattern and fabric and she could do amazing things.

Halloween's always been one of my favourite times of the year. I remember so many costumes from a very strange behaviour I had of actually trying to remember all my costumes. It was a test of my memory that I've always done. I used to be able to go through all my grades remembering every costume I wore. I used to do the same at Christmas. Trying to remember every year at Christmas and where I was and what happened. Sad really.
Memorable costumes:
I remember my dad and I making a train costume which I wore over top of my conductors over alls and hat. It was great to look at and drew lots of attention but became as heavy as a suit of armour after 30 minutes and just about killed me out gathering for candy.
In high school I was tall, skinny and had loads of blonde hair. I found an old green shirt of my dads, a pair of his ankle high leather boots and a pair of flaired jeans and went as shaggy. It was great, I grew a little goatee and then shaved it all off except for the bottom of the chin. I went to a high school dance like that and everybody had a great laugh. (BTW-this was way before it Scoobydoo was trendy again)

I used to help out in a neighboring FD's Halloween party... So I came up with something different every year. I can't decide if my Cat in the Hat costume (with stovepipe hat and bow tie) was my favorite or the Pippi Longstocking. For the Pippi costume, my husband put wire through my ponytails to make them stick straight out, and then sprayed my hair red. I had to walk through doorways sideways all night!

Hey! |
Honest, I had to read it twice! I thought that's what it said the first time.

Hmmm... Mississippi River Porn Queen - I'm forwarding this one to Anheiser-Busch for their next string of Bud Light ads.

We salute you, Mr. Over-the-top Carb Counter! You add up each and every carb from breakfast, lunch, and dinner hoping that they'll add up to your target number. Zero.
