Are you an animal freak? What made me think about it is that there is this cat who hangs out on campus all of the time. Apparently she has been here for a while. She was found preggers and so someone took her home while she had her litter and was going to keep her but she (the cat) wanted nothing to do with it. So now the cat is here all of the time. So whenever I see her I always give her a good pet and ear scritch and usually some cat treats that I carry just for her.
I'm weird...aren't I?

Hubby and I are animal freaks.
We own dogs regardless of whether or not our son wants them--We got them for us.
When my hubby was deployed to Turkey, he made friends with a stray cat that hung around the dorms.
In Alaska, my hubby and his cow-orkers befriended a fox that hung around their building.
I can't get enough of seeing animals in the wild.
(I got to see pelicans, cormorants AND sea lions last weekend!!!)
Edited to add: And by "fox" I mean the little furry dog like creature. Not an attractive woman.

There is a stray cat or two from time to time here and the people with whom I work do the same. In fact they put out bowls of food and water.

Me too. My husband and I saw a fox a couple of weekends ago and some hawks. Way cool. (I wasn't in the city if you're wondering)

I'm a critter lover for the most part. Nursing back to health several wild critters that were victims of dog/cat attacks or car tires was pretty enjoyable. A couple of rabbits, a squirrel and a chipmunk were all given a new lease on life. My only failure was attempting to bring a weasel back from being hit by a car. That mean little son of a gun ending up dying from what I believe were internal injuries. He was totally thankless to the very end.
