..do you PR "often"?
I've only been running for about a year and a half, so I've only run one race and not PR'd (and I ran it on a whim, after sitting in a car for an hour and a half).
So, how often do you race, and how often do you PR?

I'm not really sure how often I race (8/yr av?) but I have PR'd on almost every race. Mostly because I am a slow runner and just about any kind of training is going to help me go faster. I think you might find, however, that people who are pretty quick to begin with don't PR quite as often.

I love this question. I race too often to PR often, but I PRd in all 5 of my du/tri attempts, and of 59 running races have distance PRd 31 times and in repeats have course PRd 18 times. This fall I've raced the last 7 weeks - every race a PR of some sort.

In 2003:
5k pr of 18:43
5 mi. pr of 33:42
10k pr of 41:13
and missed a 4 mi pr by 14 seconds due to a shoe that came untied
In 2004:
5 mi pr of 33:36 and that is it.
2005 is gonna be my year! Every pr in the book is goin' by the wayside.

All three I've run have been.
I'm guessing the next one won't be.

I'll race 15-25 races per year.
This year I PRd my 5k time twice.
Anything over 10k would be an instant PR at this point. (Just because I last raced those distances at a time when I wasn't really a runner.) But 5k and 10k PRs have reached the point where I only expect to even challenge a PR only a few times a year. I'll need weeks of specific training, a good race course, good weather, and good luck.

I've been doing race for 2 years and a month. The most recent PR was about six or seven weeks ago. While I don't PR every race, the times I post when I don't are still respectable compared to the PR and recent efforts. Sole exception - this past Sunday.

5Ks are the only standard distance I race, everything else seems to be some weird combination of distance for a duathlon.
I race 4-6 5Ks a year and this year, I finally broke a PR from early 2003.

Speaking of 5K PR's... Are you running in Loganville on Friday?
