Posted: 11/15/04 - 09:41 Post subject: Speaking of Christmas
I am off today and really have nothing planned. Already went swimming with the new masters program at 5:30am (great workout!) and now I'm coming up with my day's plan.
Don't kill me "anti Christmas"peeps, but I'm going to start making cookie dough. I have a bunch of icebox cookies I make and the dough can freeze for up to 3 months. So this afternoon I'll have the mixer on high and will be making some holiday goodness. Don't worry, I won't go as far as putting on the Christmas music.

Well that's OK, planning ahead is good. Now if you were to leave a plate of cookies out on the table tonight for Santa, I'd say there was a problem.

Cookie dough is made for some of my icebox cookies. I made chocolate, vanilla and peanutbutter. Mixed all 3 on some. mmmmmmmmm I really love my kitchenaid mixer. The best house warming gift evah from my running friends! A must for bakers. I'm exhausted. Off to Starbucks for a latte then Sophie and I are going for a walk.

yesterday, while I was cooking and doing some general housework, I put 5 Christmas CD's in the player and put it on shuffle. what a hoot hearing that music, but all out of order.
I do love my Christmas music.

Christmas baking ahead of time is acceptable. It's lumped in the "holiday" baking period that begins a couple weeks before Thanksgiving.
