I went to sleep last night at a typical time for me, 10:30pm. I had the alarm clock set for 6:30am. So when I wake up unaided, I think that the clock has not yet gone off. But looking at the light from the window, it is probably much later than 6:30. Sure enough, it's 10:40, and I'm supposed to be at work by 10. I turned off the alarm clock in my sleep (this used to happen all the time freshman and sophomore year of college, and I had to set 2 or 3 clocks to ensure that I would wake up). And I've been tired and disoriented all day.

I've done this a couple times and it's truly embarassing when your daughter is two hours late to school because of this. If looks could kill...
