The guy in the car next to me on the expressway this morning was reading his paper. I mean, a whole section was spread out in his lap and he was reading it, not even looking up. I honked like a lunatic. Then I got annoyed and called 911, who patched me through to the PA po-po (papopo). I gave them his tags and a description of where we were, but...do they really follow up on stuff like this?

Also, I feel badly using 911 for stuff like this. Is there a better way to get to the authority people I need?

Two suggestions:

Fling Poo at driver

Install megaphone system on your car (like they did in the 50's)...

"Hey JACKASS! Put down the Funnies and drive!!"

I once stopped a chick on traffic that was weaving from lane to lane...as it turned out she was trying to put on her panty hose on the way to work. Mr. Green

G3 let me help you here.

If you called in Radnor here is what we would do.
1) Run the tag of said offending vehicle
2) Dispatch car to area
3) If unable to find, attempt to contact the owner.
4) Talk to owner about driving, and that is about it. Cannot do anything unless, you show up as a witness in court.
5) Call cleared.

your second thing.
You have no other choice. You do not know where you are but the calltaker at 911 does, their job is to forward to approriate agency. You did right. Now me I know what jurisidiction only because I am in the biddness, and I would call directly the appropriate agency.

FWIW- he could if seen by the PO PO under the following section of the PA motor vehicle code

PA VEHICLE CODE wrote:
Title 75-3714-Careless driving
Any person who drives a vehicle in a careless disregard for the safety of persons or property is guilty of careless driving

So, being the friendly occifer that you are, you assisted her in putting them on? Or did you confiscate them--being potentially dangerous, and all... Wink

HaHa!!!! No I didn't help and didn't confiscate them...I just pointed out how potentially embarassing it might be if she were incapitated in an accident and was found with her panty hose down around here ankles! Very Happy
