I've talked about this to BC.
I want a party planned for after the service (which I am allowing under protest)
I only want happy songs:
Some Smash Mouth
Awesome God
And a few happy songs. No sad hymns.
But, I'll be dead, so BC says my funeral may not really meet my standards....

Several more modern worship songs come to mind - "(And) I Surrender", "Come, Now Is The Time To Worship" (one of the few I can actually sing on key!), and "Beneath The Throne of God" (not sure if I have the title of that one right). How many, I don't know. I also know at least two people I'd like to have say something, as well as one Riff Raffer (nominations not being taken at this time. or not.).
And just to tick off the stuffed shirts of the North Shore, I would have to throw in Radiohead's "Scatterbrain" and the Oils' "Written In The Heart."

I can assure you I think about this kind of stuff entirely too often. I actually had decided to plan out my entire funeral service this year (on paper, I know already in my head how it's gonna be), but I'm afraid once I do (and it's paid for), I'll die.
Gospel:
In the Garden
Love you so much
Other:
One More Day - Diamond Rio
Wish You Were Here -Mark Wills (I would love to have the Pink Floyd version played but I'm afraid my family and friends would think I was some sort of freak)

Is there something you need to share with the class? Have you been going to any pumping parties lately?

Don't know what I'd want, but I did think it odd when, while driving back from the funeral of a friend, I heard "Funeral for a Friend" on the radio.
