...I go into a card shop and look at the funny cards and some of the encouragement cards... and the first person I think of when a card "speaks to me" gets it.

Those of you willing to PM your address to me just might get one. I have one for a riff raffer but I don't have her address.

I hope she responds. I hope you all respond.

Sometimes, there's no better way to brighten your own day than to giggle at a card and then send it to someone who you know will giggle too.

I'm too easily amused. I'll giggle at anything.

It's funny you should post this, because I was just going through the reverse process. My oldest kidlet accomplished a great thing; something I knew he could do, but he surprised himself. I was just thinking of sending him an encouragement and "I'm proud of you card". Because you're right, sometimes there's no better way to brighten a day!

My best girlfriend in Indiana just sent me an awesome hallmark card the other day, and boy did it come at a good time. All of my girlfriends are big on cards, as am I, and we're always sending funny, silly, or sentimental things to one another.

Cards rock, as do their senders. Smile

Okay...you twisted my arm. Mr. Green

He finished 2nd in his math class, and got the highest grade on an exam, with some glowing comments from his professor. Mr. Green

Wow, OL, that is SO COOL!!! WOO HOO for lil' Delta.... Mr. Green

Maddie, I know what you mean. I can't count how many times being in a card store made me think of someone special. I should do that more often myself. Mr. Green

That's nice. It's such a cool thing to send or get a surprise card. I've not yet met a person who doesn't appreciate the thought out of the blue.

OL, congrats to your son! You must be very proud! Mr. Green

You all are soooooo nice and thoughtful. I really wish I was more that way. I love to write cards and letters. I just have some mental block about addressing envelopes and walking to the mailbox. (can run forever, can't walk 2 houses down) If I can do it from the computer, then life is grand. (I can now FedEx, USPS stuff from work, from the computer, that is way cool)

Hallmark.com lets you pick out a card, write your message, and will put postage on it and mail it for you. I'm not sure what that would cost though...

ecards are great too. I think it's just as nice (for me, anyway) to check my mail and find an ecard from a friend. Always brightens my day!

And congrats to OL's son!! Outstanding!!!
