A 3-year-old's voice is louder than 200 adults in a crowded
restaurant.
And
No matter how much Jell-O you put in a swimming pool you still
can't walk on water.

I know I could hear my 3 year olds voice in a crowd only because I would be so tuned in for it.

So tell me something I haven't experienced...
No matter how much Jell-O you put in a swimming pool you still
can't walk on water.
This is true-- but it's a helluvalot of fun trying!!

I've learned a good trick for this type of question. You don't blush or get embarrassed, you just say, "Yep, that man is big, some people are small, some have blue eyes, some have dark skin, some have blond hair, some stand, some are in chairs. I think it's a much more interesting world that way."
When others are around to hear the exchange, sometimes parents tell me what a good way that is to go about it. The main thing is that the feelings of the person the kid pointed out stay intact.
