They're MAKING my baby run!
And I love it!! I have been trying to get him to run. He refuses. He is a HUGE skateboarder.
Now, he's been invited to try out for the HS Soccer team--and he's in a world of hurt due to what's affectionately known as "conditioning week".
They did three miles yesterday.
What kind of things do you want your kids to do because you know they can, know it's good for them, know they might even have a talent for it--but they just don't wanna?

I wish my daughter would sing in public (mostly church). She's got a pretty good voice that would get better with some training. She's way too shy to sing in public though.

Off topic :: I remember when my son was in MCJROTC and they were running after school and some of the parents thought it was awfully hard of the Sgt. to make them run a WHOLE MILE!

You know? It made me feel good to hear him complain about the 2 miles they did on Tuesday--knowing that at one point 2 miles was effortless for me. (Of course, I didn't tell him that, I commiserated)
Fortunately now, I can show him the tricks of the trade--stretching, when to eat proteins and carbs and all the cool stuff! Even if for a moment, it's cool that Aire Jr is in the running world.

shut the F up! I want them to shut the F up!
I am so ready for them to be back in school and away from each other...constantly pick pick pick.
son: She won't give me 'that' back
daughter 1: nanner nanner stick tounge out
son: see mom....make her give it back.
daughter 2: grabs 'whatever' daughter #1 has and RUNS like he!!
All three...run around the house till someone trips and gets hurt...then they're all pointing at the other as to who's fault it is.......

I'd love my little one to run for student council but he won't. He has been asked every year. The older one I'd just love to finish HS without any further complications. I know he can if he wants too.

Isn't it so amazing what we see in others--but can never see in ourselves?
Mr Aire would make the BESTEST teacher. But that is something he doesn't want to ever do.
The student council thing is cool--it's neat that you see that in your son.
I think Aire Jr would be great at drama class. Don't ask why, I just know.

I love it when Josh has to run for conditioning for wrestling too. He'll lift weights w/o being asked - running no way. That said, he's watched his girth very carefully this summer and will be going into wrestling season much leaner than he did his freshman year. He's a solid 165 lbs right now - last year he was a flabby 165.

I've got them all separated now
The two older ones are in their rooms till lunch.
Me and the little one took a walk in the rain she's too little to really pound on....she tries self control, but she doesn't have the capability to fully understand. The other two.....Sweet Jesus take them away for awhile...I.need.a.break.

I think my daughter has it in her to sleep through the night and pass gas unassisted.
