One more reason why riding to work rocks! 
So, I riding to work this morning and I cross the Yellow River ( ) bridge and then the railroad tracks. Slowly going up one of the steepest hills on the route, I looked down and what do I see?
Guess!
No really, Guess!
A bag of marijuana! I turned around and picked it up and took a good whiff of the contents to verify their potency. Nice compressed buds, very few stems or seeds. I'm guess somewhere between $60-$80 value. I tucked it in my jacket pocket and pedaled on in to work.
Some poor fool has dropped his bag and is going to be very disappointed when he goes to reach for it and finds that it isn't there. 
I've called the police and they're supposed to send an officer by to pick it up this morning. I'll try to get a picture of said officer and I and if I'm lucky, I'll get one of those cool police officer trading cards.

I find it amazing that someone with such a vast knowledge of good v. bad pot and street value would give this to the cops.
I'm not a real police officer, you know, but I play one on TV....

Well, that was uneventful! The patrol car pulled up in front of the office and called in and I had to go out and meet the officer so no photo op (no trading card either). 
I gave her the baggie and shook the rest of it out of my jacket and told her where I found it. She said it was probably worth $40 (I asked, curiosity was killing me). She said that since there was no suspect, they;d just dump it out.
The most interesting part of the whole ordeal was when I told the 911 operator where I was when I found it and where I worked. She said "Holy {expletive}." when she found out I rode to work. Heck lady, I was 3/4 of the way to work by the time I found it.
Guess I'll have to keep my eyes peeled more. I may have found a new way to fund my riding habit.
