I've played more softball this weekend than I think I did all last year.
I need to remember I'm no spring chicken anymore cause OUCH! that hurts!!

Friday: First game of fall season, we lost by 1 point.

Saturday: Had the company picnic. A bunch of us got together for a game. We played for 4 hours. Shocked I could barely roll my butt out of bed today. It was pretty neat tho, we had a few 11 yr old boys playing, a fellow from Bosnia who's never played before, and only 2 girls ventured to play. I wowed everyone with my softball skills. Even the 11 yr olds were impressed! Mr. Green

Sunday: Walking around wishing I hadn't played for so long, and the phone rings. "Hey we're a girl short for our Sunday team, can you fill in?"
My brain was screaming NO! What came out was "sure I'll play."
Won this game and I must have wowed them too cause they asked me to play every Sunday. Mr. Green Mr. Green
Hopefully next week won't hurt so bad.

Good job Akern. I played slow pitch for years and then got out of it when my kids were playing baseball and I was coaching. I miss it and might look into playing on a team next year.
