I wholeheartedly agree and should have been more clear...that was my "role" then. I tell my students all the time, especially my special ed ones that being Special Ed is not an excuse, but a challenge. Our brains are wired differently. Heck, I made it through college, and in May, will have a Masters and begin my Ph.D.
I'm still not very smart, but well educated.
Thanks for taking up for me, and no offense was meant to Ian, or any other special ed child. I have a huge soft spot for all of us.
