He's home. Well, he's at work right now, but he never went out of town. I heard Yes's Owner of a Lonely Heart on the radio a bit ago and it just got me thinking. And then *poof* this qustion came up.

Oh, I thought you'd said he'd be away.

What does it mean to be?
It's a perfect with question with no friggin right answer! And one I have to try to answer in no more than 3 pages for my Philosophy prof.

Not away, just very late meeting/dinners and Saturday night he's staying in LA for the night with out-of-town friends. Jerk. He owes me.

The correct answer is: I am. It's a trick question. If you can stomach a bottomless read, look into Sartre's Being and Nothingness.

I may do that. I really LOVE my philosophy class. We're learning about the Socratics right now, and while it's very heavy and very over my head at times, it's fascinating. Might be a good thing to read this summer, when I actually have time to read for pleasure.
