Posted: 03/29/06 - 21:46 Post subject: So tonight at dinner.....
It was Italian Night at the country club, which basically means they have a pasta bar.... anything you could ever want on your pasta... cooked right before your eyes.... poof!
OK... so, I was sitting there eating my salad and fettuccini with asparagus, spinich and peppers when my dad sits down with his plate o' meat and pasta with red sauce. He proceeds to take a big bite and ask me...
"Jen, what's a quick fix for weak legs? I don't think I can make walking 18 holes right now..."
I immediately text JU, excuse myself to the bathroom and bust a gut laughing in the phone...........

There's a major fallacy in your argument.
Eating "red" meat is not the exclusive sign of an unhealthy diet.
Its very much like saying pasta with cream sauce is healthy simply because you've added some green veggies. Or... eating a salad without adding some protein like either tofu, chicken, turkey etc.
Remember, in dieting as with all of life: "All things in moderation".

Said the crack addict to the meth user.
I'm a zealot..some things in life aren't worth the downside, even in moderation.

I agree. I haven't been able to eat red meat for over two years now. Yes, my body does miss it. It's hard to make up that protein elsewhere, it can be done, but it is difficult.

Even CS Lewis claims this. I tend to agree.

I was a vegetarian for several years. It's hard to find quality protein in Ohio other than soy, and that gets boring. I got sick all of the time too.
I did miss meat. That sucks, aire.
