Posted: 01/18/03 - 08:44 Post subject: So my neighbor has a very loud stereo last night
Remember it is winter, and all of the windows are shut.
My walls were vibrating from the pumped up bass.
So I have a few options. I could knock up, call him or call the po po. I did not want to call the po po, because that is very undudely.
So I bundle up go knock on the door. I try to ring the bell and knock in between songs. No the outside doors and windows are shaking like they are having seizures. I got no answer.
I could've pulled a Jed and shot the windows but went home to give him a call.
I call him and when he answers he is loaded. He tells me he has company. I tell him no problem could you at least back off the bass. It was turned down and that was the end of it.
He is in the middle of a divorce I think and is pretty upset. He just moved in to his house about 3 weeks before us and is a very nice guy but I think he is upset over his divorce. This is no excuse. I will talk to him later on and explain things but we will see what happens.
I really did not want to bother him with a visit by the PO PO, so I handled it appropriately like a dude should.

You handled it in an adult way...no eggs and toilet paper were involved.

Kids party or an adult party. If it is an adult party, is this involved?
And why wasn't I invited?

Happy Birthday, Mr. Oaster. He is a young guy. Does he still run calls?

No, only in administration right now. He handles all of the money. That way Greg gets to play with all of the expensive equipment

That is alot of catfish fries. (How my old hometown dept. raised money). Which chasis--looks like they come in the Dash, Lance, Enforcer, Saber and Quantum. 1000 gpm for the ladder is pretty nice. You must have some good sized buildings in your area.

State Grants, low interest loans, and long term financing. Replacing a 19 year old truck which has served us well.
We have no buildings in our first alarm district that are that tall, but alot of industry, so it comes in handy.
We are going with 65' version. Neighboring town has the tower ladder for truck company operations

Well handled, Joe. Sounds like you're a good neighbor.
is your neighbor any relation to Capt. Lead Boots? She lives upstairs from me, and from the sounds of things, she wears heels about 24/7 and I think her apt came with an optional wood floor package I wasn't offered...esp. when she comes in at 2:30 am....not that I'm complaining...

You're a nice guy Joe. Are you in an apt or in a house??
I just moved into an apt for the first time in 25 years and its hard trying to be a good neighbor. I went to my upstairs neighbor to tell him to let me know if I was too loud since I didnt know how thin the walls were. He was nice, but the next day he came down and invited me upstairs to hear my TV from his apt. I could barely hear it but he could. Now, to keep it quiet enough so he doesnt hear it at all, I have to keep it so low that when my furnace comes on, I cant hear it at all
Apt living = pain in the butt
