Posted: 10/04/02 - 07:36 Post subject: So let's say you're pumping gas, minding your own business..
...The day seems cool and relaxed, especially since you got that new promotion, and suddenly a sharp pain races through your chest, and a bullet ricochets from your car door, spraying blood upon the window. In a split second, you die. Maybe you were just easing through a morning job, mowing the lawn of the neighborhood grocery store. Your family hears news of your sudden death, no longer able to see you again. Some friends think you abandoned them. The people at Riff Raff figure you finally got tired of the place. All because one psycho decides to snipe a few innocent people, uprooting the lives of a dozen others.
I can understand how some people want to kill nation leaders. How some people are outraged to the point of maybe hitting someone a couple times. But who takes up sniper rifle, and one day, decides to walk around a park, picking off a few older men, and a couple mothers, just for the hell of it, like it's some kind of hobby? Obviously some of the worst human beings on earth, if you want to call them that. Is there any justice for this?

| today the washington times wrote: | A 13-year-old boy was shot and critically wounded as his aunt dropped him off at school Monday, bringing fresh terror to the Washington area where a sniper killed six people last week.
Anxious parents streamed in to retrieve their children from the school, and police in neighboring Montgomery County hunting for the serial sniper rushed to the scene. Officials stressed that no link to the Montgomery shootings had been established. |

I was actually talking about Son of Sam. I looked it up, he killed six and wounded several others. This new guy has already killed 6, plus wonded 2 more.

Oh, sorry. Was Son of Sam a sharpshooter as well? Is that a parallel?

he wasn't a sharpshooter but his weapon was a handgun. I believe in most of the cases he'd sneak up on a couple makin out in a car and shoot them both...
