Did you end up acting like your parents after all?

When I talk to my mom I harken back to conversations we had as I was growing up and getting advice that made sense.

Now I find myself doing the same thing when my mom says something off the wall. Embarassed Shocked Razz

Itys funny that you have to aquire the wisdom.........to understand the value of the things it took you years to finallly understand that life teaches you.

It sucks to get old. Mr. Green

I wish I could be at least half the parent my mom is. She is amazing.

My dad, too.

I catch myself doing some things that my dad did/does. We both love corny jokes. We'll call each other up and ask "what did you want?" when the other hasn't even called.

but have I become my dad? no. there are so many glaring differences that no one would ever think of saying "he's just like his dad"

I'm a lot like both my parents (not all good ways either). I hope I can be just like my mom when I have kids though.

Its funny how getting older on both sides of the fence changes your view points. Factor in parents coming to you with questions on stuff and I seem to slip into the "Ward Cleaver" mode and its like a out of body experience....

My overall attitudes are nothing like my parents', but I do have a lot of small habits similar to those of my father.
