I probably won't but I have 2 club level seats on the 49 yard line at Georgia Tech home games. I have an offer for $1,000.00 for the two. It is tempting to simply watch the game on TV at that price but then I feel like I'm selling out my team. It's definitely going to be a great game and I fully expect GT to win this one.

$1000 for the season pair, or for a specific game?

It'll be a good game, but it's hard to say no to selling the tickets that'll cover your costs for the rest of the season.

I'd sell them, but that's me.

Have you priced the market? I'd check the online brokers, and ebay, if you haven't already.

Consider too that Notre Dame travels well - you might find a South Bend buyer with a bigger offer.

I think Sonny wants them.

That is a tough decision. By not showing up to 1 game you can get the money back for the rest of your season tickets. If you are a diehard that goes to every game even when money is tight, take the money and run. If you have enough to pay for the tickets and you go for the fun of it then keep them.

just my two cents.

I vote for the FB suggestion.

One other thought. I love my school too (Seton Hall Univ) but if I had a chance of selling a non playoff/tournament game ticket fror that kind of money I'd do it because:

I'm leaning 90% to not selling them. I have never sold my tickets to anyone. I have given them away occasionally to a Tech fan going to the game. The thoughts of selling them for personal greed when I don't really need it just seems a little bit like "Benedict Arnold" to me.

If I was to sell the tickets they would almost certainly go to an ND fan which would really gall me just thinking of them sitting in my seats cheering against the Jackets.

These tickets come with game program, 2 drinks (dark or light beer or red or white wine), comfy lounge with 17 tv sets, and a free parking pass. They are 10 rows up on the end and you can hear the visiting team players talking to each other. You can even smack 'em if they get too obnoxious Wink.

Now I'm curious... what's your selling point? At what price does it become too hard to pass up? $2K? $3K? $5K?

By selling the tickets to one game, you're making a prudent financial decision, not being greedy. A pair of ND fans will pay for your season tickets. It would be doubly satisfying to have them pay for the season if Tech ends up beating them - how galled would they be to shell out a grand and lose to Tech??

I'm not sure there really is a selling point. It's very difficult to explain. The momentary thought of selling my Tech tickets for a profit is not something I've ever considered before. It's almost like the first time you have lust in your heart for another woman after you get married.
You finally come around to your senses and do what is morally correct.

I have not missed many Tech games since 1977 whether via home stadium, visitor's stadium or TV. If for some reason I cannot go to the ND game, I'll do what is correct and what I've always done in the past - give them to a couple of GT fans who will enjoy the game. Selling them is really not cool now I've gotten the "greed" out of my heart.

For the Emerald Bowl game in San Francisco last year I bought 10 tickets to the game knowing I wasn't going and simply donated them back to GT which in turn donated them to troops and children in the San Francisco area to see the game.

I just can't really sell out the Jackets to Notre Dame.

I bought 4 Emerald Bowl tickets to donate as well.

Are these club tickets, in addition to your normal Bobby Dodd Stadium season tickets? If so, I might be interested in two more tickets to the ND game - And GT fans will definitely use them.

Am I the only one who can't wrap their head around this type of team loyalty (nothing personal)?

Are the Notre Dame fans bad people?

When they are playing Georgia Tech, yes! Mr. Green

At all other times, I'm quite fond of their fight song.
