My bedroom was in the basement.... with a door to the outside... that creaked.... I learned quickly how to open and close that bad boy silently.... I snuck out on a very regular basis and never did get caught although there were some close calls...

A few times. Anjel and I were walking about 4 miles from home one morning (3am) when we were freshmen, got picked up by the police and taken home. Anjel may still be grounded, LOL, but Mom just told me not to do it again. We did it again, just took more care to not get caught.

Never. Always told the folks I was going out and the general* purpose, and they never had a problem.
* - for all you Little Leaguers out there, the vaguer your explanation, the better your chances of not being grounded... remember this when your teens are going out, and draw the appropriate conclusions.

Never did that, much worse actually. I would leave the house on Friday after school with my BF who was 24 and I was 16. He would bring me home Monday morning before school. We've been married nearly 20 years now. I shoulda had my azz whooped back then. Oh, I'm paying for that now though, I have a 15 yr old son.

Never snuck out. Lived so far out in the country that I'd have had to take the truck too and it would have been impossible to sneak away in that.

I grew up in a house my mother grew up in herself, so I think she could sense when the air moved... no chance of prowling for this puppy.

I'm the youngest. When my time came around, my parents loosened up the reins quite a bit and didn't set a curfew or even wait up for me. (my perma-grounded sisters hated me )
Of course, this was probably because they knew I was a big dork who did absolutely nothing scandalous in high school and hung out with people with 9pm curfews...

Lots and lots of times. And snuck in as well. One time my friend and I had the bright idea to tell our parents we were staying at each others houses so we could go out drinking.....then we had no where to sleep. So we snuck into my house, slept in the basement and snuck out early the next morning to then pretent we were really coming home.

Most definitely!!! I think the one time we just stayed up all night and went to Perkins and drank coffee and then came home and slept all day. My mom didn't understand why I was so tired.....

Funny, I was just talking about this over the weekend. I snuck out all the time. The tough part was getting over the 6ft privacy fence on top of about a 5ft. tie wall. My friends were kind enough to push me back over when I was too drunk to climb it.
