Had a pretty good weekend.
Friday night Stacey and I had quite a few Margaritas at Lisa's baby shower. You would not believe the ton o' stuff this woman got. It was unbelievable. There were about 40 people at the baby shower and about 20 didn't show
We originally went back to my hotel to pick up something before we headed out to another bar, but we hung out in my room and crank called our friends It was childish and humorous and we had a blast.
Saturday was my Geology field trip and I had a great time. I learned a little bit about geology and a lot about my classmates. Made even better friends.
The house was eerily empty (no DH no girlie). I ordered a steak and had good intentions of having a Monty Python Marathon, but was zonked out by 9 pm
Today has been fairly productive getting my house back in order.

Thursday and Friday I was giving thought to doing the race up in Wisconsin (the one RAS and Shelfie ran last year). But the drive is about 3 1/2, 4 hours. As we didn't get home 'til 10:30 that night, would not have gotten enough sleep.

Saturday spent time at the gf's house and finished remodeling her bathroom. She made a fine dinner, watched a movie she had taped afterwards.
Sunday was my longest run evah (I think) at 15.2 miles. Home for a nap. over to my mom's house to visit and clean all the leftovers out of their refrigerator. Finish cleaning my house then over to a buddys house with the kidlet to watch Browns game and eat large quantities of food.

Saturday worked.
Saturday night dinnah with hubby, Happy and another friend. Happy and I had water dumpend in our laps by a clumsy waitress. Free dessert. Game of cards.
Sunday AM 17.5 m run. Beautiful day made for a great run. Best long run in a long time. I was dying of thirst for 1.5 hours and all I could think of was drinking a Coke. So I ended my run at the end of my street and spent my $1.00 I had in my fuel belt on a cola...mmmmmmmmmm.
Went to work.
Met hubby and Happy at a pool hall and we went to dinner.

His name is Rick, he's really nice, and has called me 3 times since our meeting at the grocery store check-out Friday afternoon. Meeting him at TGIFs tomorrow night. Not looking for love or anything, just hoping to have a nice time. Wish me luck! Oh, and he's a runner. |
Poor guy is already doomed to the "let's just be friends" status.

Friday: Long run. About 14mi.
Saturday: Spent the majority of the day replacing the brakes and repacking the bearings on my truck. Went home and did work around the house, including climbing up on my roof at 9:30 to try and install a new TV antenna.
Sunday: Moderate run (10mi). Then home to finish the TV antenna and to set up the waterbed in my room. Finally finished the waterbed just in time to go to bed. Let me tell you, a cold waterbed is not fun to sleep in. brrrrr.

Except for that cleaning stuff my weekend was similar.
Ran a race, saw The Incredibles, and grocery shopped.

Friday: dinner with friends, realized how truly old I am as I went to bed at ~11
Saturday: was outfitted in Maroon and went up to College Station with my roommate for the A&M/OU game, made some heckling phone calls to my longhorn dad amidst the 'whoops' when it was 21-7 A&M....(UT scored 0 against OU) drove home, decided all that strenuous....standing had worn us out so we went to dinner and barely stayed awake through 'Starsky and Hutch' (which is really fubby, btw)
Sunday: 2 online exams, some house stuff, some cooking, some grocery shopping, some paper writing, some Texans losing

No, not at all. I'm just not going into this date thinking that it could turn into something big. I've always done that in the past (of course back in those days I was much younger and naive) and don't want to make that same mistake is all.
To be honest, him calling everyday since we met is a bit ... I cannot think of the word. It just makes me feel like I really don't want a boyfriend at this point. It's really nice that someone is into me, really, but this being alone thing isn't so bad.
I've been eating my words lately though, so I'll probably be singing a different tune tomorrow.

Friday ~ Didn't work and I woke up with a cold for my day off.
Saturday I didn't do much other than head to the dog tracks for a little innocent betting. Waled away with an extra $3.60 in my pocket and a bunch of laughs. Went to a live band at a local bar afterwards.
Sunday I hung out with my parents and then headed to see Alfie. I was slightly disappointed by the movie. I thought it was going to be a total guy flick. Turned into a chick flick half way through. Had a yummy salmon dinner with a girlfriend after the movie.
Very Low key for me!

FANTABULOUS-A-MUNDO
Friday--took the 2 oldest girls to the local community Theater
Sat-- Finally cleaned up the garage and basement from Halloweenie
went to get matching haircuts with Lil' Bam then to the mall with Pebbs
Some of the '79 Steelers were there along with our new rookie QB
so the lines in the main part of the mall looked like trying to get
on Space Mountain
Sat Nite...went out with Pebbs, my boss and his brother
no costumes this time
Sun--worked around the house, took apart our powder room to
begin painting it..
WATCHED THE STEELERS DISMANTLE the eagles
but it is only 1/2 way thru the season
