Aside from all the momentous events that we all post about here...

How are things?

Grab a cup of coffee and feel free to share with the group.

Life is pretty good. We are over the whole shock of the pregnancy, and are looking forward to another beautiful baby. I have applied for 3 more jobs in the last few weeks, all within 20 miles of home...don't even know if I'll take them if offered, but I applied. I just found out I might be able to teach summer school next session(July) which definately will help out the pocket book. My "procedure" went great on Friday, and I am looking forward to starting running again on this Friday. I've decided on my fall marathon, and will be working on my training program the next couple of days.

Now you go...

Glad to hear things are going well Coach.

I'm just relaxing enjoying the summer. I've gotten ahead enough in my full summer class at UNT that when I begin my Summer II class the workload shouldn't be overbearing.

I'm enjoying spending the day with my pets, and a few hours a day at the gym. Summers are so laid back. My husband has a week of vacation starting next week which I'm looking forward to.

I am attempting to relax and figure out how exactly one files for unemployment. Also trying to clean up the kitchen after last night's little food bacchanalia!

Super! Thanks for asking!

I think I have decided finally on running a fall half marathon. Nichole is at her mom's for the summer so It's pretty quiet around the house. Up side is we're free all summer! Down side is I miss that little booger. We talk to her often on the phone and she just don't sound like herself. Sad Only a few more payments on my car and its all mine!! I can't wait to have zero car payments!! Dancing Banana I've been talking about redo-ing our bathroom, but now I'm thinking I'd rather have tile in the kitchen. Dart season is over (thankfully) and I believe we are getting together a fall softball team.

trying to motivate a 15 yo to start soccer conditioning which includes naturally includes lots of running. he had a great checkup at the endo last week.

daughter is doing a track camp in early july which is always cool, and a Pgh riverhounds tournament this weekend.

mr. is quite happy (for the first time in a long time) with his job

sun has been shining for two days straight and i started a new book called The Lovely Bones.

all in all, i'd give it a 9 out of 10 on the contentment scale here. hopefully, i didn't just jinx myself.

Let fill up the pan with water and bring it to a boil. The grits should come right off after that.

Things are good here. I have the day off from work Mr. Green Got home a while ago from picking up my Dad at the hospital. He went in for Hernia surgery this morning. He's in a little pain now but everything went great.
I am trying to get over my mental block about doing a 1/2 Ironman in September. I can do it, I just have to keep telling myself I can do it. I will be doing a 1/2 marathon in October and my first marathon in January down in FLA, at Disney with Dancer and 6 or 7 others. Should be a great time!

Life is good but overwhelming much of the time lately. June began the busy time of year for work which equals extra hours spent there. The summer culminates with budgets for next year; anxiety has already been raised on that front.

Love the hot summer days though. Looking forward to swimming with the kids and begining lap swimming again. Kids are healthy and sassy. Ever challenging but they're joys even at my worst.

Hoping that I have the inner resolve to give some much needed attention to things in my personal life that are out of control. Maybe on those sunny weekend afternoons. It's so easy for me to ignore them... maybe it's procrastination.

Thanks for asking.
(Lovely Bones is by my bed... hopefully this summer)

i don't mind telling you, my friends, that things have been difficult for me.

the eating disorder has a pretty stong hold on me; I'm having a hard time breaking old behaviors that have helped me cope and deal with stress. unfortunately, those behaviors are the ones that have kept me in the ED. I'm doing better, but I'm impatient.

the past week or so, I've taken some pretty bold steps to resolve some of my problems, and I'm sure that's why I'm struggling with the ED behaviors.

on the other hand, I have been sleeping in, running, playing with the kids, and driving the older ones to work, and even occasionally working myself. It's so nice to sit on the porch and have a cup of coffee as I read the morning paper.

All things considered, life is great. Recent medical issues for both myself and The Paramedic have been mentally, physically, and emotionally trying, but hopefully that mess is behind us (fingers crossed). Our ordeals have 110% confirmed that our friends and family are the greatest, and we are more in love than ever. What a great silver lining to be found.

We're both gainfully employed and respected and valued at our jobs, a winning 1-2 combination, and our puppies are the cutest. I start school next week for my teaching certificate, so I can continue to do what I love but for more money and more time off than corporate America will give me. After my few recent setbacks, I am looking forward to re-ramping up my mileage in a few weeks, and will enter the hot, humid summer with more determination, strength, and drive than ever. Training hard for my first full marathon in my beloved Philadelphia in November, and I'm looking forward to really smashing my 5K and half PRs in September & October. So overall, I feel pretty damn lucky.

Bit of a rollercoaster ride these days, lots of hills and valleys....but reading everyone's posts reminded me that El is right, it is the trying times more so than the good ones that show you how blessed you are to have such loving, supportive friends and family, no matter what else isn't going right.

I wasn't going to answer this because I was in a real pissy mood this morning, but you know what? It's a beautiful freaking sunny day out there and my life is filled with really great people, so who gives a flying crap about the rest of it? Razz
