I put together my my wife and I's race schedule for the next few months. Any of you Texans run in any of these? Anyway...it gets me all psyched up to PLAN stuff. It also keeps me on track.

September 6th, 2003---Keep Austin Weird 5K (MY FIRST REAL RACE in 14 YEARS!!)-- http://www.keepaustinweird5k.com/

October 11th, 2003---Huntsville Half Marathon and 5K (This one makes it's rounds through historic Huntsville and through the old prison cemetary "Peckerwood Hill")--- http://www.tdcj.state.tx.us/win/Half5kENTRY2003.pdf

November 27th, 2003---Anadarko Run Thru the Woods (5 miles) --- http://www.woodlandsonline.com/dynabiz/ymca/run.cfm
(I know this is Thanksgiving Day but it's 2 miles away from my house)
January 18th, 2004---HP Houston Marathon and 1/2 Marathon --- http://www.hphoustonmarathon.com/half.php
(This might be tough, but nobody says we can't walk some of it.)

February 28th, 2004---10K Conoco Phillips Houston Rodeo Run---- http://www.conocophillipsrodeorun.com/

I'll be at the last 3 if my schedule allows!

I did run thru the woods last year (stayed with my friend who lives less than a mile from the start--sweet), the half this year and signed up for the rodeo run this year but was sick as a dog on the day of the run and skipped it, but I did it last year and it was a blast going out in front of the rodeo parade and such.

I do have a thing for prisons, so running through Peckerwood would be tons of fun. I'll have to see how that fits into my marathon training....

Just a friendly nag to NOT FORGET WHITE ROCK!!!!!!! Very Happy

Gee, I'm this obnoxious about it now, wait til Nov.

I might be running the Huntsville Half Marathon and 5K, except it is the one in Alabama.

For a brief moment, I thought I might actually get to race with a Riff Raffer.

Another Huntsville Half Marathon and 5k
