..................And I can say that we won't be doing that again for quite awhile. He didn't do to bad but he goes too fast around corners sometimes and a bit wide. But when we came home he pulled the driveway which is like 2 car lengths long, and pulled very quickly and close to the garage door and slams on the f in' brakes. I don't think he did this on purpose, he looked like he sh*t his pants actually. But then he laughed about it and when I said wtf did you do that for he said to see the look on my face. That pissed me off. The boy scares me.

I'm sorry, Deb, but his response to your question was priceless. Vintage smartass - something like our son would say.
memo to self:
Remember her post when we drive Deb down to Chicago.

OMG -- you need to warm him up for a few weeks in a parking lot!!!!
my son's been at it for about 8 hours total now and he still continues to mis-brake. it must take a long time to get the "feel" for braking distance. help me.. now i know why our drivers ed cars had those brakes on the passenger's side...i'd kill for that in my van.
i feel your nervousness.
