Wow!
I have enough trouble just running....much less the biking, and ya can forget about the swim part for me..
I'm just glad that I am not the only one who uses those fuel belts.....

It boggles the mind. Every time I toy with the idea of training for a tri I snap back into reality because I know I'm not disciplined enough.
Man that lady in the photo is built!

I've run in worse than that. The harder the rain, the happier I am. Go figure.

running in weather like that can be fun.....but after the toll that the race takes on you physically and psychologically----it's got to take some inner strength to continue.......or plain craziness......

There is nothing better than running in snow. A close second is sleet. Sweatsicles, wide open road no cars will drive on, you never get hot. BLISS!
I guess I fit into runaroundsue's "craziness" category. I ran a 5M race where it was monsooning so badly I could only see a few feet ahead of me. I loved every minute of it.

WHAAA???? |
When you sweat so much you get icicles in your hair or when precipitation freezes in your hair. So much so that you have to defrost before your shower because you're afraid it will break off if you don't. I know you've seen this on men with moustaches/beards before.

ANYONE can do it...you just have to give up everything else for a few months to train.
Don't want to correct you here but I swam 2.4miles!!!
Anyhow, not only did I run the last 10 miles in that rain I also biked about 2.5 hours in that rain too-with a headwind!! On the 2 loop course it rained in the exact same area on both loops. The 2nd time more of a downpour!
