Dennis removed this young'un from our house today. It'a a black snake, only about 3.5 feet long.

He took mama out yesterday...she was about 4 four long.

The mister, who is about six feet long, still resides somewhere in my happy home.

OTOH, the mice population seems to be pretty diminished these days.

Yes. Dennis caught one in our kitchen cupboards.
They seem to like to stay downstairs though, in his converted office/garage. Or the basement. I step very carefully through these areas. I also look into all the drawers before taking out a pot or anything!

Dennis wanted to leave them all in the house, and I put my foot down. That's all I want is to have one of these crawling into bed for warmth at night.

We have an old farmhouse. There are holes everywhere, there's really no way to keep all the critters out.

You should see the oppossums and raccoons that come in every evening and eat dinner with them. Even the dogs don't mind any more.

I'm sorry, but this brings to mind a hilarious conversation of misunderstanding between the Mr and Mrs late at night in bed. teehee

/Mr Aire would move out if ONE showed up in the house. No lie. He is not so fond of the snakes.

teehee But see, there's usually at least two dogs in the bed also...it's really crowded at my house!

But I just thought about it....something cold and smooth touching my neck at night better be the MISTER's BALD HEAD!!!
