For the el cheapo's among us, the Atlanta Track Club's Singleton race is this Saturday at Stone Mtn Park. It is free to members, $5.00 to non-members (no tee-shirts). You may choose to run the 5 mile or 10 mile course. If you complete the 5 mile under 40 minutes the ATC does accept that as a valid time to put you into time group 1A for the Peachtree Road Race. I'm not sure what the time for the 10 mile course is for 1A placement.

How hilly is it? Is it run around the mountain?

It's around the mountain - once for the 5 mile and twice for the 10 mile. It has rolling hills. To compensate for the park mile markers not being accurate the track club starts the race at the train depot.

The races start at 8:00am and if you park inside the park it will cost $8.00 if you don't have a yearly pass. I'm thinking I'll park in the village and do a slow warmup jog to the start (~1 mile or so).
