I am working both CE and C.
Our squad worked it out so that just about everyone can do something. Instead of senior guys taking the day and screwing the younger guys. The township instituted a draw system. Where all the names are put into the hat and the Sgt. draws the name of the 3 people who can have off.

Instead of that. Some guys agreed to work Thanksgiving if they could have off one of these days. I took a half day and other guys split the day.
So all 9 guys are happy. The only squad in the PD.

I am working a half day on CE because that is the day we do most stuff anyway.

I am working a full day on Christmas. At our house though we are having a huge dinner where most of my family will be attending. We already would have had a big get together over my dad's anyway on CE.

It is nice though because we do most of our stuff on CE night anyway.

My week's gonna be hell. Luckily I foresee much drinking. Mr. Green

Tuesday = The Paramedic's birthday. I took the day off; we shall go out to brunch, then lunch, then attend one of his work's Christmas parties briefly. Then LOTR III, then dinner out.

Wednesday = outta work at 3, exchange Christmas gifts with the 'medic. Then drive to in-laws in NJ. Eat dinner & exchange presents, then leave late and drive even further north to my parents.

Thursday = Christmas Day at my mom's.

Friday = Christmas Day at the 'medic's grandparents.

Saturday = Christmas Day with my cousins on my father's side & my nan.

Sunday = Hilly Chilly Challenge 5K and postrace brunch with the Floridaboiler and pink love monk pink love families. Then drive back to Philly and crash.

First year for me since living on my own (read: not with parents) that I've not had a lot of plans. Weekend before we're at Dad's, Christmas Eve we're with FIL, and we usually spend Christmas Day with MIL (she's ill, won't be traveling this year). This year, it's just us. It's a bit nice, but also a bit sad. I'm sure we'll telephone everyone though and wish them a Merry Christmas.

Sorry Achey! Sad I'll be hoping that you'll have a better year.

We'll just stick around here for the holidays.
No family in town.
No friends in town.

Just us.
