Posted: 04/28/04 - 10:20 Post subject: Simple pleasures Wednesday....
Sorry, no pissing in the Cheerios today. I am in an almost sickeningly good mood!
Today's simple pleasures:
- came in a little late today and stopped at Starbucks for a chai and orange cranberry muffin and took my leisurely time getting here
- beautiful spring day, breezy and cool here in PA
- got a bunch of new CDs in the mail yesterday and am listening to The Rising right now
What's the simple pleasure that brightened your day today? If you can't think of any.....your assignment is to go find one and report back by 5:00.

Mr. Go is sick. I was at an exam review last night. Goette Une did dinner dishes, got herself and Goette Deux ready for bed and packed lunches for both of them for today. Une is all of 8 years old. I am really impressed and made a point of telling her so several times. That's keeping me going.
(That and we're one day closer to...May 10th.)

My nails need a touch-up, so I think I'm going to do that right now.

We finally got cool bridesmaid dresses!!! Yea!
We're going to the Air and Sea Show (in Ft. Lauderdale) this weekend and seeing some friends from Columbus who will be there as well. It's cool to get off the island sometimes.
I have tomato and fresh mozzarella with fresh basil from our herb garden for lunch!

My simple pleasure has been waking up hangover free after going "shopping" last night with my buddy. His son's 6th birthday is today and we went to Toys R Us and bought him some cool stuff.

it's not quite the "simple pleasure" but it will make my life a little easier: I set up some payments online to come out of my checking account on a recurring basis. So for the next 3 months I don't have to worry about writing a check or making sure the payment arrives on time. It's all done. I'll review the finances in 3 months and check the balances to see if I need to increase the payment, or pay them off.

- Sunny, in the mid/upper 70s, and winds gusting to 50 mph.
- Leg injury seems to be healing quickly.
- My race photos from St. Louis should arrive today (this may not be a good thing, though ).

The smile from my beautiful bride this morning when I kissed her goodbye.
The sound of silence as I was out on the roads riding this morning

A good cup of joe.

Oh, and I forgot...
Girls Basketball banquet tonight...get to hand out some hardware, and say an official good bye to the team.
Taping the OC, and watching it when the kids go to bed.
