He just called and said that he's alive, but without power or a battery-powered laptop.
Lots of damage all around. He said that's the worst hurricane he's ever been through and that he'd be back online in a couple of days when they got power restored.
/for a minute there, I thought he was going to ask me to watch his dogs.  and

Yea!!! I'm glad he is alright. This is honestly the worst storm that we have seen also. Scary wind. shrieking around the house, and we kept hearing what were obviously tree limbs breaking off and hitting the house, as well as the cocnuts and rocks and pea-rock and sand doing all the same. I'm glad he made it through. Naples and Ft Myers appear to have gotten the worst, and I guess no one from Miami/Ft Lauderdale/Palm Beach to the Keys has any power.

Thank God Sheldon and Kristin are both ok.
oh, my Uncle forgot to hire someone to put the hurricane shutters up....
oooops.
Our condo is in Naples.... looks like we now have to hire someone to go clean up the mess... cheaper to hire someone to put up the damn shutters.
