Um, I'll say the wearer. Because I was him once while I waited tables and I left a ball point pen in a shirt. It wasn't pretty. Mad Fortunately for everyone else involved, it was only my clothing that was affected.

My mother might as well be Heloise she's so friggin' handy and she helped me tremendously with the tip of rubbing alcohol. Take whatever has ink on it (we'll say a shirt). Place it with the ink side down against an old rag. Take another old rag and soak it into rubbing alcohol and press against the shirt onto the first rag. The alcohol breaks up the ink and it releases onto the rag. The trick too though is to move the shirt around the bottom rag, because once some ink is transferred from the shirt, it can be transferred back to the shirt. It takes some time but I saved quite a bit of clothing this way (mine happened to be a load of whites and bleach did not help).

Good luck! Let me know if you have more questions, I can check with my mom...

For god's sake, it's not all that difficult to remove items from your clothes when getting undressed. That's the way I was raised.

Me too, especially if we're talking about an adult. Add this to our ever growing list of "Things That Are Not Gonna Change"

The wearer is definately responsible. However, if you find cash in the dryer and it's the wearer's cash then it is the washer's to keep. Mr. Green

BTW, if you wash and dry a gu packet which has not been opened it remains unopened thru both cycles!

When I get done with that, wicked stepmother, can I go to the ball? Wink Twisted Evil

The dinner guests have been resolved, I believe. And so has this. Now I just need to figure out how to get the damn ink out of the dryer. I am not going to do it, I just need some solution.
