REALLY !!
You guys will/are having an ice storm there today.
I don't know your experience with that sort of weather, but based on my experience you need to be very careful and prepare for major tree limb downings and electrical outages. Its not the same as a snowstorm. If you go into work, be prepared for a long commute back home.
If you can avoid, it don't drive. You might also want to consider postponing any activities outside your house at least until the ice clears up.
Again, common sense should prevail here. Just my two cents worth.

1.water.
2.bread.
3.milk.
4.candles.
5.blankets.
6.logs for the fireplace.
7.whipped cream.

items 4, 5, and 6 are multi-function items.

 | If the log is for the fireplace, how is it multi-functional?
In anticipation of your reply, I've already got the door to the penalty box open for you.

Ambience, man! Ambience!
Now I'm wondering what you thought the candles were for....

We had two major ice storms down here two winters ago. I was without power for one week.
Luckily, I had 2 propane tanks that were full (usually for brewing activities), several MREs that I like to take w/ me when camping (sadly, I don't go camping much anymore). Also, the grocery store was 1 block down the street. They were clearing out their perishables after a day for anyone who could make it up there.
