It seems that when something sucky happens we want someone to put the blame on. When we're in grief, a not-so-nice lawyer convinces us who is at fault--and that makes things a little easier to take psychologically--"Well, there IS someone to blame!!!! Someone I can feel, and see, and touch, and make HURT (through large cash settlements) just like I do!"
The Taliban is not a good adversary to blame psychologically--because they are so nebulous. (Even though they are the ones at fault)
So, it supposedly makes a person feel better to have someone to take their anger out on.
It saddens me that blame is being put where it doesn't belong. The airlines shouldn't be blamed for this. There was no way to prepare for something like this. (Now they're jacking up 80 y/o war veterans in the airport  ) As Brie said, if they want to do it, the terrorists will get it done. Thhe whole basis of terrorism to cause fear and distrust of the infrastructures that run our lives. (Govt, transportation etc) It seems they have succeeded because now we're all fighting amongst ourselves while they sit back and laugh.
