so, I bought a textbook from a class I'm enrolled in used from an Amazon seller. I bought it from a guy who is probably 40 miles away thinking even media mail could get it to me quickly. Apparently not. Two weeks later and some emails exchanged and I finally receive my shipment from said guy, only it contains the wrong book with similar title Mad The guy responded quickly and is very apologetic, selling his kid's college books apparently and says he has been through this same scenario from my perspective for his kid in a previous semester. He is refunding my full selling price and shipping costs.

Assuming my refund comes through, what feedback would you leave?

The truth. I got the wrong crap but was reimbursed. But I'll never get that 2 weeks I spent waiting for this book back.

i've never had a problem using the marketplace to buy textbooks...however, i will not by from a seller unless they specifically list the edition # or isbn for the item...also, i'll pay a couple of extra dollars to buy from someone with a high feedback score and has a track record of selling quite a few books...so this strategy has paid off...

as for this guy i'd probably give him a 1...even if you do get your refund, there is no excuse for selling the wrong title...

The person has a high positive feedback with a huge inventory. And the way Amazon works is you look up the ISBN, they provide you all the sellers who fit that category. I don't know where the glitch is unless he thought "A community of WRITERS" was "A community of READERS"

Same basic deal as ebay, but instead of Positive negative, Amazon lets you give them a 1-5 rating and comment.

probably a 3 if you get the refund because of how honest he was with the mistake and apologetic. It sucks that he made a mistake and he might feel really bad about and it sounds like he is trying his best to make the situation right for you, or as right as he can.

Have you by now purchased the book you need from somewhere else? Or, can this guy still get you the book?

At this point I really needed the book early last week, I can't wait on media mail again so I overnighted it. $$$$$ I better be able to sell this thing.
