Woo Hoo!!!!!
Beautiful, cool morning. Race course changed from last year. It included a major hill in the first mile. but for me this was the best! I had a PR of 24:14 I placed 22nd overall and 2nd in my age group!! I got Hardware! I nailed the first hill, everything else was gravy. I had a longer kick than usual and even pulled some people along with me. excellent run for me!
I knew the 10k course has a reputation for being tough, and from the reports of those who ran it, it is definitely hard. I knew the roads they would be on and decided the 5k was enough for me.
Really nice race shirt, in green, picture of the local gazebo and green/yellow lettering. Post-race food: pizza, cookies, fruit, subs, gatorade, soda, water.
