3 letters in baseball, 2 in CC. I was also on the JV basketball team sophomore year, but spent the winters after that working on my pitching with one of the local minor leaguers.

4 years of Track, Basketball, and Football (we didn't have CC!)

Lettered 3 years in track, and two in basketball and football.

State Champs in Track Junior and Senior Year.
FB team was state semifinalist Junior year.
BB team was Region runnerup Senior year.
We were pretty talented.

the only finish line i saw was the one my boyfriend crossed at cross country events. and the only cheering at games i did wasn't at games but the invites he went to.

i danced and read a lot. was really quiet. the only thing i knew about athletes was from what my boyfriend told me. that was enough for me. it seemed to make him happy; couldn't have been that bad of a world.

once i went out for track but it interfered with my dance schedule, so i quit a few months after it had started. gym class would have been my second to least favorite class.

Since I went to three different high schools, I earned two letter jackets and lettered in academics and drama.

No sports here, weren't allowed in our home--my parents felt that games were for when all your work was done--not during school. They wouldn't even let me take driver's ed during the school year either. Nothing interfered with academics.

Pebbs was a 4 year letterwinner and a 4 time MVP of our high school track team.
She scored over 90 points a couple of the years and the team was in the playoffs every year. No Cross Country as she worked in the fall.

Sorry- GIGO

My school didn't do letters, something about them going out of style once Danny Zuko got one .... Razz

Two years soccer, until senior year they forced me onto varsity. I quit because I couldn't slide tackle = no fun.

One season fencing. I quit because they said I couldn't stab people. I mean really, you give me a sword, and then expect me not to use it?

One season indoor track. I quit because I got tired of running around in circles.

Two years CC. Smoking was not a problem as I smoked while I ran. Obviously I did not compete very often.

Four years dance competition - did relays, jazz, tap, aerobics (was captain o' the team my senior year). Fantastic all-girl competition - prep was half the year.

I wanted to play baseball, but they said girls had to play softball. I said no. I also tried out for cheerleading (my father made me), but I couldn't do a cartwheel (still can't) and they said something about me having a non-perky, sarcastic attitude???

So, "shout out" to all the Mathletes that are representin and standing up to those Numba Haters out there!!!

Word.

I was not an official Mathlete but I was on the Academic Decathlon team one year. And I won some of the competitions too! Good thing 'cause I'll never get a medal running...

But I was not a total geek, because I LETTERED in cheerleading for four years. It's a sport.

Give me an R! Give me a U! Give me an N!

I forgot about being on the worthless Trivia Team. You couldn't letter in that though.

I managed to kill off all of those brain cells in my early 20's though.

My running junkie life started in 7th grade... 6 yrs of cross-country and then 4 yrs of track. Basketball & xc-skiing in the winter. I lettered my 9th-12th years in cc & track. Our cc team won state my junior & senior years and I got to state myself in track running the mile. College was one wonder season of cc and then I riddled myself with injury.
Since our hs cc team won state titles, we got some good respect. Fun years.

I did Volleyball 3 years - quit the 4th year so I could make money working at the mall. Evil or Very Mad

Track 3 years. Wasn't very good at it but smart-I signed up for the mile and 2 mile. It was just me and another girl in the two distances so whenever we had conference meets and could only enter 2 peeps per event I was always guaranteed to go to those meets. Mr. Green

Ran my way through high school, four years xc, four years winter track, three years spring track (had to take off my junior year after I got mono).
In college, ran xc and was on nordic ski team.
Received a letter for every season I participated.
