the "Chucky" thread got me thinking...

Who's the scariest of the slasher movies...

Jason?
Freddie?
Michael Meyers?
Chucky?
Candyman?

I know I've left some out...

I'm voting for Michael Meyers...I think mostly for the piano music though.

For me, the scariest slashers are the one's without any real "reason" for their actions. With most of the killers, we are able to pinpoint to a certain extent why they are the way they are. Jason was ridiculed and drowned when he was young, so we know how he became a killer. He had a lot of childhood trauma, so he went jungle-machete on everybody.

It's the supernatural-type dudes that don't have any rhyme or reason and we never know why they do what they do. They make the best killers. I can't think of any specific examples of these types right now, though.
