with much sadness I must be saying bye to Mr. Tivo, I have only had him since X-mas but we have been very happy together, with my new HDTV widescreen tv arriving tomorrow come to find out Tivo don't work with the HD world.
So sad, but will be moving to the Cable companies DVR system, wish I new about 4 hours earlier as I already went down to the office to pick up the new HDTV cable box not knowing of this Tivo issue with HD programming. Will have to last a few weeks with no DVR/Tivo system, think I will rehook up the old reiliable VCR.
Beware those who are buying HDTV systems that Tivo will not work with it.
Mr. consumer

Cable companies DVR system is one in the same with cable box(no happy illuminated tivo guy of course) but does allow for taping one show while watching another.

Do you have only one TV?? This just feels cruel and wrong. I hate seeing homeless unused Tivos. It pains me.

I just knew it. Tivo was yet another short-lived consumer-dollar-draining obsolete-in-no-time blink-and-it's-gone gizmo.
Yeah, justifying life in the cave holds up sometimes
