Ran the 12th annual Oregon High School Alumni race on Saturday. It's the alumni vs. the cc team. Hot, humid, yuck. And to make it worse, Mikey had us up the whole night with a 101 temp. I was debating whether to run it or not. I decided I would run it, but not for myself. I started at the back of the pack and picked out the straggler freshman. Ran with him and pushed him the whole race. It felt good to help him out. He and my old coach seemed very appreciative. I got more out of helping him along than I would have had trying to push a pr that wouldn't have happened. A great time overall, and I look forward to doing it again next year.

Was there any butt slapping?
Really, way to go Rando. Maybe that's just the little pick-me-up that that freshman needed to keep himself interested in running.

That's awesome, Randy! It feels great to give back to a sport we all love, doesn't it?
I'd add you to my heroes list if you weren't already there!

Nice Job Randy. Sometimes even an easy run like that can make you feel good in some way and it sounds like that one did!
