17.6 miles at 4:15 this morning. My training plan called for 25 but after last weeks struggle with 20 I thought I would try for 20 again this week. Well I didn't make it. I knew after about 1 mile that today would be one of those gut check runs. It felt like the wind was in my face no matter what direction I turned on my course. According to weather.com the temperature dropped 5 degrees between when I started my run and when I finished it.
I liked my effort and my time was okay. 2:36:51 for an 8:55 pace. That is what I try and run for my long runs. Have a great weekend everyone.

6 scrambled eggs, 1/2 a pound of bacon, 2 medium potatos worth of home fries and a mug of coffee. I'm fueling up for tomorrow. Or something like that.

4.199 miles in the big outdoors (a-hem). Nice clear skies - temp about 36, and I totally overdressed - felt like I had twenty pounds of clothing on, so I felt like I was really going slow. Like way over ten minutes per slow.
Not so. 4.199 miles in :36:05.97 (8:35.83).
If I dressed like Boiler, I'd've gone at a sub-eight clip.
Then again, if I dressed like Boiler, I'd prolly be arrested.

Beginning at 4PM on Friday: after a 3 hour drive to Newark Airport from Albany, a 6 hour flight from Newark to Shannon, Ireland, a 2 hour drive to the site I'm working at, 3 hours of non-productive work, an hour drive to my hotel, and a 2 hour nap, I still managed to get in a whole 2.58 miles on the treadmill in my hotel. Am I dedicated or what?
Greetings from rainy Ireland, y'all.
