Not sure how many are interested, but here's what I'd like to try.
For every bit of exercise you do over the next 3-4 weeks, you'd get a number of cards (randomly chosen, of course) based on your activity and distance/duration:
Run/Walk - 1 card for every 3mi
Swim - 3 cards for every 1mi
Bike - 1 card for every 6mi
Row/Elliptical - 1 card for every 2 mi
Weights - 1 card per 30min
At the end of each week, you'd get points (Chicago style) for the best hand you hold (regardless of the number of cards you have).
1 pair - 10pts
2 pair - 20pts
3 of a kind - 30pts
Straight - 40pts
Flush - 50pts
Full House - 60pts
4 of a kind - 70pts
Straight flush - 100pts
Royal flush - 250pts
The person with the highest number of points at the end of the contest wins. What they win is still unknown....prestige, perhaps?
Anyone interested?

No points for only one card. You need at least 2 cards to make some kind of poker hand.
If you do a 3mi run, you get one card. If you do another 6mi run, you get 2 more. Then your best hand possible is 3 of a kind, and you'd get 30pts.

I'm busy writing a simple app that will handle all of this, including keeping track of who's got what cards, and determining your best hand.
To keep the card management simple (especially with many participants), each card dealt will be dealt from a full deck of 52 cards. Therefore it is likely that you will share the exact same card as someone else, and somewhat likely that you could get the same card twice in the same "hand."
It is also likely that you can acquire more than 5 cards in a week. In this case, the best 5-card hand will be selected from your entire "hand".
Similarily, if you get less than 5 cards in a week, you'll still have opportunities for good hands. For example, if you have 3 cards, the best you can end up with is 3 of a kind, which can beat many 5 card hands.
I'm also making nothing wild, and there are no jokers.
Sound good? If not, I'm certainly up for tuning this to make it more fun and/or feasible.
