Man, talk about weird timing. I just got a call from the original practicum site I was trying to secure, which is working with kids/adolescents, and is an evening hours practicum. We kept missing each other over the holidays and I had to take the one I'm in now in order to start in January. So I now have my internship secured starting May 1st and it sounds like a much better opportunity than the one I'm at now.
Maybe with some luck things will fall through at this place and I can start at the other one now instead of May. :fingerscrossedsmilie:

I love Sheldon's candidness.
I'm glad it worked out... it's your destiny standing up and speaking.

Thanks. Basically it's this:
I wanted Site B for my clinical rotation.
I had to take Site A cuz I couldn't connect with Site B in time.
Site B just called to see if I was still interested.
I am but I can't start til May because I contracted with Site A.
I'm hoping Site A forgot about me and gave away my slot so I can go to Site B now.
If not, I am already in there for May.
Life is good.

Well, had my first real practicum day today. I think I'm actually going to like it! My supervisor, although a bit absent-minded, is really really nice and we had a great conversation about addiction, treatment methology and other geeky stuff today. I got to meet some of the patients (all women, which is nice) and sat in on two groups. Very cool place. I even get an office which I don't have to share because none of the other three interns work when I do.
He did apologize profusely for dissing me yesterday and one of the therapists took every opportunity to rag on him about it since she was the one who found me sitting in the lobby like a lost puppy. Everyone who works there seems supah-nice.
First doctor I ever met who says sh*t that much in public though.

Have you been reading The Dark Tower series? That sounds like something Roland of Gilead would say.
