Especially people who show talent but choose not to use it, like my son.

People that show up at a race and say "oh, you're here". It's very rude.

The lack of races in the area. The lack of good places to run. The elitist assclowns at the running store.

where the f are you, so I can put it on my list of "will not live here".
that said, it's more about quantity than quality in alot of communities. Our local store sponsers women that finish quite a bit behind me, but they are the women that are get the pics and interviews because they say how "great the store is, how great the community is..."

There are a few things about Atlanta I'm not thrilled with, but we have lots of running areas, well organized track club and rarely does a weekend pass throughout the year that there are not several races to choose from within very short driving distances.
As far as pet peeves, I hate volunteers yelling "it's all downhill from here" whether or not that statement is true. I know they mean well, but just cheer us, don't humor us.

And yet I'm strangely amused by a grandma yelling "you're almost done" at mile thirteen of a marathon.

welll...I don't have any trails to run on...it's all roads.
And my town is too darn hilly.
And, I have to drive so far to go to most races.

How depressing, people walking, dogs, people yelling encouragement, having to step of the path. You people certainly have a lot to worry about. I'm glad there isn't a bottle of gin and any sharp objects around I might have slashed my wrists.

Nothing bothers Phar Lap! He could be hit in the jewels by a kid's baseball and he'd laugh it off! What a champ!

As long as you do it on the far side of the race course so as not to interfere with the rest of us, I don't have a peeve with you.
