As for clubs in your area, it depends. Large metro areas should have several clubs to look into.
Several running sites also list clubs - Running Times, for instance, has a state-by-state listing. Even if there's not one near you, the club sites often have links to other clubs. It's also useful to see for upcoming events, especially if you're going out of town.
I'm sure you'll find something that you can fit into, and that fits what you're looking for.

Hi beanie!! Alot of it depends where you live. If there is a running store nearby, ask those people. Many times they have group runs originating at the store.
