Fantastic report Tim. Your committment to training and pulling it all together on race day are both very inspiring. An amazing and very deserved time for your first marathon!

Everything on your report should make each and every one of us take notice on how to train correctly for such an event. Personally, my training before events has been weak as of late, and your report has me thinking about how to better myself in that context. Thanks, Tim, and congratulations to you! thumbs up

Great Job Tim........neg. splits first time out.....amazing!!!!! (although, I still can't do that Mad ).

Did the race not have a 3 hr pacer???

sue

No there weren't any pacers in this marathon...I guess it's something that is now wired into me through my training and previous races, most of which have been negative splits.. Confused

are you going to Boston?

I'm not in a hurry to run Boston for now... Due to the date of this race, I am qualified for 2 consecutive Bostons. I'm not planning for any marathons next year unfortunately. I still have plenty of time to think about it. There are a couple of marathons around here still that I will like to try. Besides, I'm not sure whether I'll have the resources and financial support to go there and race, assuming that I'm still running consistently 2 years from now.
