The annual small 5k held right here in my hometown. Finished 16th overall out of 130 something runners. First Masters. Won a medal and a door prize consisting of a frisbee, two pens and two clips for potato chip bags. Woot!

Interesting split placements led to splits as follows:
mile 1 5:59
mile 1.x 5:24 (11:23)
mile 2.x 3:37 (14:52)
mile 3.1x (i think course is a bit long) 5:09 for a finish of 19:59

Still a fun race and nice to see a lot of people I know instead of the usual three or four.

mile 1 split was pretty close. the guy with the watch for mile 2 had no idea where he was supposed to be and was nowhere near 2 miles. the next split was the lady with the watch at mile 1 - it was on the way back because it was a partial out and back.

It happens, I've had that happen in a half - that or I ran a six-minute mile in it (I don't have that much talent). I want to say Pug had something like that happen too, but I can't be sure.
