I mentioned the Rock concert that I'm taking my son to tomorrow evening. It's an "alternative" group. It's a CD release concert and the tickets are $10/person plus you get a copy of the new CD. There will be a lot of "goth" type kids there. My son doesn't do this "dress code" that much but he does it occasionally. Since I'm chaperoning, should I attempt this look so I don't stick out so much?

I'm headed to Goodwill tonight to at least buy some "black" clothing

If it were me, it would be a black top, plaid skirt. black tights and the combat boots. You're welcome to borrow the boots, but I think the skirt would be a little over the top.

Not that look, unless Kid Rock has gone Goth. Your basic black is the best bet, though.

I personally would dress as a total nerd because I love watching my kids pretend they don't know me. Mr. Green

Although I have the fashion sense of a blind monkey, I suggest, like Gretriever did, wear all black. A black turtleneck shirt or tee with black jeans and black combat boots would look hot!

It's not the clothes that make the look...you've just got to master the head tilt with the constant "yo" expression.

I thought that with Goth they avoided eye contact--except to roll their eyes dramatically at any adult's stupidity. <--- like this

Jon Davis from Korn, kilted and playing the bagpipes is also hot, IMO. Yeah, everyone else thinks that I am crazy too.
